Gladstone's Library is a residential library and meeting place which is dedicated to dialogue, debate and learning for open-minded individuals and groups. This institution pays tribute to William Gladstone.
It is Britain's finest residential library, and its only Prime Ministerial library. It was founded by the great Victorian statesman himself and, following his death in 1898, became the national memorial to his life and work as well as one of the few Grade I-listed buildings in North Wales.
Literature Wales believes that literature belongs to everybody and can be found everywhere. That's why Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre, the home of literature in Wales, has a course for everyone: readers, writers, poets and thinkers. Once a home to Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre is not just a beautiful house set in the stunning landscape of rural north Wales, but a beginning to a story.
Join some of the best creative writing tutors in their fields, including former National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke, and Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, for a range of residential courses including scriptwriting, poetry masterclasses, storytelling, writing about food, mindfulness and yoga.
